Make peace with food.
Trust your body.

Diets and restrictive eating plans don’t work. I’m Steph Hopkins, MS, RD — a Boulder-based dietitian helping adults and families shift from self-control to self-care around food.

Common questions

What is an anti-diet dietitian?
An anti-diet dietitian helps clients build a healthy relationship with food without using diets, calorie counting, or weight-loss prescriptions. The work focuses on rebuilding trust with hunger, fullness, and satisfaction cues — usually grounded in frameworks like Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size®, and the Satter Eating Competence Model.
Do you do weight loss?
No. Weight loss is not a goal or an outcome I track. Many clients see their weight stabilize as they end the diet-binge cycle, but the focus of the work is freedom from food preoccupation, not body change. If weight loss is your primary goal, I am not the right fit and I’ll tell you so directly.
Are sessions in-person or virtual?
All sessions are currently virtual — one hour each, conducted over a secure video platform. You can meet with me from anywhere in the United States.
Who do you work with?
Adults who are tired of dieting and ready for a different relationship with food, and parents of kids of any age (infancy through adolescence) who want feeding strategies that don’t involve pressure, bribes, or weight talk.
