Diets don’t work — and they hurt.
Most of my clients arrive tired. Tired of the rules, the restriction, the rebellion, and the quiet shame that comes with another plan that promised to fix everything. They’ve tried the programs. They already know the numbers. What they’re missing is permission.
My job is to help you find your way back to the body you live in. Together, we’ll question the food and body beliefs you’ve been handed, untangle hunger from morality, and rebuild a relationship with eating that feels more like self-care than self-control.
What guides my work.
- Intuitive Eating — the 10 principles by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch.
- The Satter Eating Competence Model — Ellyn Satter’s research-backed approach for feeding across the lifespan.
- Health at Every Size® — weight-inclusive care that separates health from body size.
- Body Positivity — because the cultural story about bodies has never been neutral.
Why families, too?
If we raise a generation of competent eaters, our entire culture will change.
Working with kids and families is one of the most hopeful parts of this work. Mealtime doesn’t have to be a battle. With the right structure and a lot less pressure, children can grow up trusting their appetites and enjoying the table — which is, after all, what food is for.
